When thinking about your next print project you may be concerned about the environmental impact of your actions. One way to greatly reduce this is to use environmentally friendly papers that are FSC approved. Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a global, non-political organisation that promotes responsible management of the earth's forests. Following concerns in 1993 about deforestation, FSC was set up as a charity and is supported by WWF, Greenpeace & Woodland Trust. Central to their system is the ability to demonstrate to the public which papers and printing companies use recognised well-managed procedures that respect timber and wood products.
